Make Money on the Influencer Marketplace
The most common question asked about Sweatcoin is: “Can you make money?” There is currently no direct way to make money on the app, but there is a way to make money by inviting people to the app. You do this through the Influencer Marketplace.
What is the Influencer Marketplace?
It’s a special marketplace, separate from the Sweatcoin Marketplace. You do not see these offers when you first download the app because they’re reserved for “Influencers.” These are people who go above-and-beyond sharing information about the app to others. Typically Influencers have social media pages, websites, or podcasts with lots of followers.
How do I gain access to this special Marketplace?
You’ll automatically become an Influencer when you invite your 30th referral. You do this through a special link that you copy within the app. For example, toward the top of this page you’ll see the green “Download Sweatcoin” button. That’s my personal referral link that helps me pay for free Sweatcoin give-aways.
The process is automatic. (In the past you had to request it specifically.) So keep on inviting others, and eventually you’ll gain access!
By the way, for every person you invite to the app, you get 5 Sweatcoins and 1 Referral Point. So keep this in mind as you keep reading.
Once you’re “in” the Influencer club, you may be surprised by the selection – both in good and bad ways! Which leads me to …
Is it really worth it to invite people to Sweatcoin?
This depends on how many people you’re planning on inviting. Let’s say you have 500 friends on Facebook and 50 download the app with your link. You have 50 Referral Points (and an extra 250 Sweatcoins!) You’ll notice, however, that the cheapest item on there (currently, as of writing in Summer 2018) is 100 Sweatcoins for a $100 PayPal Gift Card.
You might say, “I invited 50 people, and I have to invite 50 more!?” Yes. That’s why some Influencers get discourage when they realize all the extra work they have to do after they gain access. The Influencer Offers sit there at the top of the Marketplace screen taunting you!
It’s best to save them up and find new ways to invite people into the app. Do not spam your referral link! One of the quickest ways to get banned on social media and groups such as Discord/Reddit is to spam that link. So many people do it, and it gets annoying for others…
You have to be creative when you share your Sweatcoin referral link!
Write an article or something. Contact tech/fitness blogs. It’s very possible to get hundreds of sign-ups if you’re determined and creative.
Do my Referral Points last forever? Why do the points keep fluctuating?
There is no clear answer to this because there’s no promise nor guarantee how long your Influencer Points remain active. I’ve noticed mine last for over a year.
They appear to “fluctuate” because when a new Influencer Offer releases, it resets the count to 0 for that specific Offer. Let’s say you have 150 Points, and you need 64 more for the $214 PayPal card. Then a $125 PayPal gift comes out – “I should be able to afford this!” you say. Wrong. That new gift card shows that you only have 0 points, even though you have 150 for the other offer!
I’m not sure if this is a glitch by their team or intended functionality. It simply means that you need to earn points fairly quickly to afford the current offers before they sell out.
What other gifts are on the Influencer Marketplace?
Luxury watches, leather carrying bags, luxury sunglasses, shoes, and most of all, PayPal Gift Cards!
In the past there were iPads, Nintendo Switches, iPhones, Airline Tickets, and more.
The Influencer offers are currently the most rewarding offers on Sweatcoin. That’s because they’re working on spreading the app around the world, so they’re willing to heavily reward people who perform marketing for it!
What is my experience with the Marketplace?
Being the owner of the largest Sweatcoin fan site on the Internet, I’ve gotten quite a few referrals! (You can see if you go into the Sweatcoin app to my profile, how many people are following me, which is upper 2,000’s as of writing this.) I’ve given more than what I’ve earned from referrals away as Give-Aways.
However, I have cashed in and redeemed my fair share of Influencer Offers – and I can confidently say, Yes, inviting others truly does pay off!
The Sweatcoin team always deposited my gift (mostly PayPal credits) within 2-3 days. I’ve never had any issues.
One last thing to keep in mind – Influencer Offer Sweatcoin Costs!
The Influencer offers cost both Referral/Influencer points and Sweatcoins.
The Sweatcoin cost is always 5x what the Referral cost is. It takes as many Sweatcoins as you earn referring
For example right now there’s a $1000 PayPal card for 1,000 invites. It costs the 1K invites and 5,000 Sweatcoins (that’s how many you got by inviting 1,000 people to the app.) So don’t let it surprise you when you redeem an influencer offer and see your Sweatcoin quantity shrink!
